Wellll, it didn’t go very well hahaha! I actually really, really like them now they’re done but I started wrong on my nails so just did the tutorial on an empty space on a nail wheel :) Give it a go - you’ll no doubt do a million times better than I managed!!

What you will need:

A polish colour for your cupcake case (I chose the strawberry scented pink from Rimmel!)

A sponge colour polish (I chose Lemon Merangue but Models Own)

A white polish (mine was Models Own)

A white pen (WAH x Models Own)

Your choice of colours for sprinkles, a cherry and some glitter if you fancy!

A base/top coat

An afternoon!

So after I applied my base coat (my nails stain something awful!) I just painted my whole nail the “spongy” colour, which also happens to be one of my favourite colours at the moment…mmm Models Own the things you do to me!

Now, you could do two coats if you’re a perfectionist but I’d just stick to one, remember its only a little bit you’ll see. So wait for it to dry and then get your cupcake case colour and your icing colour! I just painted my pink across the nail and then tidied it up a bit. Then I took my white nail pen and drew a sort of ‘drippy’ effect to look like the icing, you could just do a straight line too if you preferred! And then got my white polish and filled it in to my cuticle. Just watch out because it gets a little thick, but my hand is not steady enough to create that shape with just a brush!!

So wait for this to dry (I knowwww it gets boring, but just scroll down tumblr for a while) and use your pen to add in the lines on the cupcake case. Then get some red and do a little cherry! Or if you have a diamanté add one of them :)!

Now just go nuts with your sprinkles and add a little white hint to make your cherry stand out. I added some glitter because I can’t get enough of Models Own’s glitter polishes at the moment so forgive me!

And there you go :) it’s a bit dodgy looking, I’m positive you could do much better!

So here’s my nails, I added a glitter gradient to my ring finger for a bit of a change. It’s really easy, you just glitter up the tip…wait…glitter the tip and a little further down…wait…and then glitter the tip, further down and a bit more further down! Easy peasy :) <3 Oh and sorry they’re so hideous round the edges, I’ve ran out of nail varnish remover!! I’ll post a nicer picture tomorrow!
